Anglophone Bishops call off the 'no-school' strike?

The heads of schools are changing their stance with regards to the school lock down. This just goes to reaffirm our position that many of the leaders feared the mob and so took sides with the school lock down but it was never their true intent.

It also further reaffirms our reasoning and fact that, ‘education is a universal right of the child” and no man/woman has the right to prevent them from schooling. The system could be bad but it has made many good and successful people for example our 17 year old Collins Nji who recently won the Google competition and many others who are reaching heights in their respective disciplines.

It makes sense to let the kids go to school while we seat back and fight the politics with the politicians and not use them as bait in the process. It is amateurish to say the least. We thank these Bishops and we, the silent majority, side with them and will work with them to move our nation forward. There are many more to side with us and there are many victories we are to win.

  3. Bullshit, we do not want the kids to stay off school , no one wants that, you seem literate a Lil so let me ask you some few questions, of what essence is education when after that you can't get a job to Carter for your parents and dependent siblings? The inhuman treatment of the lawyers and teachers protesting do you abide to that? What happens to all those who have been locked up on motives that they are terrorist's who do not possess arms? How many terrorists have they arrested so easily that you know ? Protest is non-violent and all the people demand is to be addrested by their president. Don't talk as if you blind, people have been maltreated and human rights have been violated. Open your eyes and write about truth and not these. No one stops the children going to school, they stopped schooling because they see no essence of their education. Hope you see what I am saying

    2. Stop insulting people and point out wat he said said wrong,is being hard-working in a cameroon a prerogative for a cameroonian to get a job? Who doesn't know that u most have a godfather before u get a job. Our Bishops should be religious rather than political.

    3. Exactly my friend our bishops should be religious rather than political. Lets not insult each other but try to understand ourselves. It is not even a matter of godfather or lack of job opportunities. We are all aware that the system has failed in all aspects for 34 years. For those who don't know be informed. French speaking teachers were posted to teach in our English schools and they were teaching in French. Now imagine that your child at Kom who knows the mother tongue studies his lessons in French in kom? A purely English speaking zone. Guys be serious. In the French zones and even in the urban regions of English Cameroon, French citizens deliberately send their children to study English education they are not forced to do so. But in our English zones we're forced to be educated in French because the teachers can't express themselves in English and you want us to sit as if there was nothing and send them back to school. Ok pls send your own children to go and study in French.

  4. We don't go to school to get jobs. Even the greatest nations in the world still have problems with unemployment.tgis lazy Cameroonians hide behind no jobs to talk rubbish. Some of us hv been quite for long. Running up and down to hv matricle numbers is ur prime motive. Donald Trump never went looking for a job to be were he is today. Allow this kids go to school and don't give a reason for no school that they aren't guaranteed a job.

  5. All these religious and traditional rulers dey under pressure. It's simple to understand...11th February is tomorrow and it will be a shame for the government if no one shows up i.e students (youths). This has been the last strategy to use after the Musonge committee failed.
