Minister Mebe Ngo'o's Lieutenant guy caught with more than one billion Francs in France summoned in Yaounde for hearing

I am sure you have all heard the story that was making rounds on social media that a Lieutenant who is said to be Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o's "right hand man" was arrested with more than One Billion Francs in France. The Lieutenant returned to Cameroon a few days ago to face the law.

L'Epervier Newspaper reported on November 18th, 2016 updated that Lieutenant Colonel Ghislain Joel Mboutou Ele, a Military Diplomatic officer at the Cameroon Embassy in Morocco and Mauritania, was summoned to Cameroon by H.E President Paul Biya for questioning

According to the paper, President Biya instructed the Minister of Defense Beti Assomo and the Minister of External Affairs Lajeune Mbella Mbella to bring the Lieutenant back to Cameroon.

The culprit will answer questions concerning the House he wanted to buy in France for the Minister of Transport Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, the 45 million Francs found on him during his arrest, and the One Billion, Three Hundred Million Francs discovered in a brief case in his room at the luxurious Hotel Georges V.

The French judiciary who had earlier sent a Letter of Rogatory to the Cameroon Government said they suspect a wide network of money laundering, involving the former Minister of Defense Mebe Ngo'o.

According to the paper, Lt Colonel Mboutou left Rabat Morrocco on November 18, and arrived the Nsimalene Airport in Yaounde at 5 p.m, on the same day, were he is presently being questioned by a committee set up by the Head of State.
