Dimitri Seluk has continued his war of words with Pep Guardiola by revealing what the boss allegedly told Yaya Toure when he left Barcelona in 2010. Moving to Manchester City, where he’s since picked up six trophies, Toure was told that he was going to a ‘shit team’ by Guardiola.
The Catalan boss would end up leaving the club in 2012.
Quoted by The Independent, Toure’s agent Seluk told Radio Barcelona: “When Toure left the club to come to the City, Guardiola told him he was leaving to a s*** team.
“Now, Guardiola has come to this s*** team. Guardiola likes money more than football.”
Guardiola has been accused of taking ‘easy’ jobs since he left Barcelona. The jobs he’s taken since have been with Bayern Munich and City, the richest clubs in their respective leagues.
The feud between Seluk and Guardiola appears to go back a few years judging by the agent’s latest comments. His open criticism of Guardiola’s decision to leave Toure out of the club’s Champions League squad is what started this row. The manager demanded an apology. Seluk responded by telling him to apologise to Joe Hart and Manuel Pellegrini.
