"The most primitive Cameroonians live in America" - Agbor Gilbert Ebot

A typically blunt Agbor Gilbert Ebot took to Facebook to call out "primitive" USA-based Cameroonians who "run down Cameroon at every given moment". According to the outspoken movie producer, Cameroonians in the USA take the little they have and invest in China or USA instead of investing back home in Cameroon. The following is his post on Facebook...

  1. Sir one is free to invest anywhere in the world so long as the climate is favourable, there is no need to be abusive, else you are ridiculing yourself

  2. For the first time ever I agree with AGE.

    2. Your words are full of ignorance and shame. It is hard to think that a movie producer knows nothing about globalization. However, America is just like Cameroon, with all kinds of people. People like you and other like me. People who are well travelled and learned and people who are have learned but illiterate and dumb. So, dont take your stupidity and spread to the world while shaming yourself. If Cameroon is democratic enough, vote for a bill to remove the restrictions on Dual nationality and let's see the next phase of the story. Meanwhile, I am investing in Cameroon even-though the system doesn't make it easy.

    1. You sure belong top class of the primitive people that the writer here is referring to. Your mouth seems needlessly broad and your tongue uncontrollable. I want to think the writer is perfect tly referring to your class here. In which case he might just be correct. Correct because you have just summoned yourself as the writers witness directly by being tribalism ice.

  5. It's obvious that Agbor Gilbert will only know and talk about those Cameronians he knows. Unfortunately he has no idea Cameron's American community is not limited to his kind. And if those he is talking about are those with his kind of thinking, then of course they will be as primitive as him. So, don't blame him, he is only expressin his ignorance. I don't know what made him think he has attained a level to castigate his stupidity on Cameronians living in America. Sometimes, it is safe to limit your views to your level. He should have said, "the Cameroonians he knows or hang out with"

  6. We as diaspora Cameroonians have a major problem when compared to other Africans out here - the writer only mentioned one issue. I see his point, but Mr Agbor, I do disagree with your choice of "the most primitive...".

  7. It is only stupidity that will make someone to think or say what he said. AGE as you called yourself, you need more research. By the way, what makes you think if someone invest in Cameroon, he/she can't invest elsewhere? Are there not foreigners who have invested in Cameroon? What is the Cameroon government doing to encourage Cameroonians to invest back home? Is it the high taxes the government is imposing on them? Am sure you just wanted people to know you visited US. Go tell Paul Biya to invest in Cameroon by giving good roads, schools and hospitals.

  9. Sad to see all these stereotypes and unfounded generalizations.just because people go to school doesn't mean they are educated.Such closed mindedness is actually what is holding Cameroon back.

    Sounds weird to me anyway!

  12. This is absurd way of thinking. You can't generalize people like that. It is sad each time I hear Cameroonians talk down to their own people and compare it with Nigerians as though we can't be our own. We need to improve our way of thoughts. People can invest wherever they fine profitable. People invest in cameroon and they do great and some not so because they of one reason or the other. Let people be. You didn't contribute for anyone to be in the US, difference reasons brought us here.

  13. Some man don deny AGE sponsorship. That's d simple reason; ask him his contribution to his nation and confer around.

  14. You must be very stupid. From what survey dud you get your analysis?? How long did you stay here and how many cameroonians did you meet?? People just talking trash they know nothing about. For someone of your supposed 'standard' you think before you speak..and even if people send their money to China or wherever did you help them make the money?? You what have you done?? Tsuiiiipppppp pls go and sot somewhere.rubbish!!

  15. Wow, let me hold back a little. AGE do you know why the Nigerians and Ghanaians invest in their countries? There is what is called "Dual Nationality" enjoyed by citizens from those countries you mentioned. As such, they will feel at ease to go back to their countries of origines and invest. The Cameroon government refuses its ordinary citizens in the diaspora to have dual nationality. Biya's regime picks and chooses who should have dual nationality. Most francophones ministers, members of government and football players have dual nationality. The rest of us out here are obliged to chose being a Cameroonian or British. Of course, common sense will dictate to you what I will chose to become. Why then would I want to ask for a visa just to visit my country? If I have to come invest in Cameroon I would be doing so with a very fat dark cloud above me as a foreigner! Doing business in Cameroon as a Cameroonian is tough enough then talk less of doing it as a foreigner! massa Agbor Gilbert are you kidding? (Oki bugélea)? You no even try do small research as to why some of your brothers and sisters no fit cam invest for contri for invest? You need to apologize bruv. Please people, do not insult the young man. When we were his age we also wanted to be heard. Yes he behaved primitively but we cannot throw away our own. Lets help civilize him instead.

    1. Bro thanks very much for your response i am carried away by your brief but direct explanation. Double nationality is a great hindrance and only a class of people are allowed to obtain this.
I can gather from you a man full of wisdom.

  16. This is ridiculous !! what is the relationship between primitivity and investment? Wow, wonders!!!

  17. I just imagine the calibre of Cameroonians AGE interacted with while in the US. His presence in the US was so inconspicuous that only people of his kind and mindset knew he was around. And thinking of investing back in Cameroon, have US-based Camerronians not built hospitals, bought laboratory equipment for hositals and schools, supported in rural road construction, paid and still pay PTA staff in government-owned schools, built whole chains of classrooms in their village Government Secondary schools, all to show the love for their fatherland. Agbor Gilbert has to step up his research before making allegations without evidence. I still have to cross-check the meaning of 'primitive'. If he is not primitive, he will not stay in Bolifamba (Mile 16 and not Buea, and with his limited knowledge of English language, try to translate a poorly-worded English text into French, whereas there is a Translation school at a taxi's drop from Bolifamba. Just check the French and see if it is not primitive. If he was not primitive himself, he would have noticed that the mortuary in the District Hospital in Mamfe (his hometown) was built, refurbished and is still being maintained by those socalled 'primitive' Cameroonians in the US. Yet, it is a government hospital. Step up your game brother. If you think you have 'arrived', then have a rethink. I value what you do for the movie industry, but such a case of simple myopic astigmatism will not be condoned. Open your eyes and see what is on ground. If Maryland was your base, since you referred to it, then one day you will still land there and their 'primitive' reception will shock you. Tell me, what have you invested in Mamfe, to start with, let alone extending to Cameroon as a whole. “People who enroll themselves in the schools of pride, eventually graduate with a high degree of failure. Failure employs “pride's” scholars....". It is the highest form of self-respect to admit our errors and mistakes and make amends for them. To make a mistake is only an error in judgment, but to adhere to it when it is discovered shows infirmity of character.

  23. It's sad to hear what suppose to be an intellectual discuss from your stay in the U.S to become a mockery to the very people who definate may had housed, fed..., and buzzed you sorry self. Since when do you control records of those who had invested in Cameroon...What does it take to clear a 2016 SUV from your port of entrance... Get your facts together before you take a leap to any further cheap publicity. Why not Egypt to your village with no roads.

  24. You are an adult. If you got something in your mind just say it. Making general statements as you did is to me the most ignorant. Everyone has a choice in life and what you see and feel is important or necessary to you MUST not necessarily be important to all, ok. Cameroon and it's entire system must be very proud of itself.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What a pompous Ass,that's all the time I will give his short Ass.

    ReplyDelete
  26. There is a saying that to be short is a crime and to complete your education is an achievement. This so called Agbor Gilbert l am sure was born by one of those Bayangui prostitutes because he claims he has travelled to over 38 countries, thus what is the name of his company, secondly has he been paying taxes. When one looks at you, one can see but skinny legs, you can't fuck good because with due consideration you have a tiny dick, you have no ass and more especially you are a drop out from school. Thinking that you have arrived is an under statement because you don't dress corporate, you put on Chinese made coats and more especially you are full of envy because you are the only Manyu citizen who has the lowest educational background. But young man it is never too late. That American guy who fucked your girlfriend is not primitive, he has an affluent lifestyle while in Cameroon not like you from a poor and wretched family where if your mum who is a prostitute doesn't have sex for money there will be no food on the table. Short man, you better be careful because you are a short mother fucking son of a bitch

  27. You don't need to be a witch Doctor to discover a jealous man. They come here beg for drinks and food especially Agbor Gilbert and Alan ne Mengets then they go to Africa and be talking sit on Facebook and social media, nobody refused them to come and live here, dual nationality or no dual nationality we have money to pay for our visas. Wretched beggars who come here we feed them, buy them clothes and they go back and start talking shit without even knowing we can ban them from coming here. Young men we are American citizens we can put you on the no fly list beggars of the first order. Short Bibilla Collins if you play we shall charge you for Human trafficking. You keep on sending innoncent cameroonians to Mexico to cross and enter America, why don't you send your own family sisters to go and do prostitution there. Be careful maybe you don't know the FBI is already monitoring you and for you Agbor Gilbert, we shall send your name to the US EMBASSY in Yaounde because you are using the cover of being a movie producer to do human trafficking which carries a minimum sentence of 30yrs to life.

  28. I have painstakingly read through the various posts that follow AGE's post and can conveniently come to the conclusion he was right, because the majority of the comments go a long way to demonstrate that primitive and uncultured personality in the various commentators.
I hope all will one day realise it is primitive to respond to an opinion with outright insults instead of clarified varifiable facts.
I praise the very few who made an effort to raise some salient reasons for investing abroad

  29. Yeah...and to think especially that someone will stoop so low as to insult his mother as well. Has someone ever insulted your mother? I'll roar and make a feast off that person myself. That's just out of order. Primitive is not even the word. This man has made a very unfounded statement, but his MOTHER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!
