Oprah Winfrey shuts down reports she's marrying Stedman Graham after 3 decades of dating

There are no wedding bells in store for Oprah Winfrey. The media mogul shot down a gossip report that she and longtime beau Stedman Graham are tying the knot after three decades of dating.
"6 people who know me well have called today congratulating me or surprised they weren't invited to my wedding," she wrote on Twitter Monday. "IT'S NOT TRUE!!"

The couple has been dating since 1986. Graham, 65, proposed to Winfrey, 62, in 1992 and they planned to get hitched a year later.

"The moment he asked me to marry him I was like, 'Oh God, now I actually have to get married?'" she recanted during a 2015 Super Soul Sunday interview with TV producer Shonda Rhimes. "What I realized is, I don't want to be married, because I could not have the life that I created for myself. I couldn't do it."

In 2013, shortly after she and Graham attended the wedding of her pal Tina Turner, Winfrey thought they were ready to take the marital plunge, but ultimately felt it would change the dynamic of their relationship.

"If you ever interviewed (Graham), he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today. Because he's a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship. I think it's acceptable as a relationship, but if I had the title 'wife,' I think there would be other expectations for what a wife is and what a wife does," she told Access Hollywood at the time.
