Cameroon Football authorities have announced to the general public that the Second Round qualifying match between Cameroon and Kenya, ahead of the Under 17 AFCON scheduled for the Kouekong Omnisport stadium has been relocated to the Limbe stadium.

A release signed by the Federations Secretary General, Blaise MOUSSA, states that the reason for the change is due to technical lapses. However sources say the bad sate of the Bamungom is deplorable and could cause a crash to any aircraft that attempts landing there.

Our sources went further to say a plane crash almost occurred there last month when the Under 20 lions took on Libya.

The rescheduling of the match to Limbe has been approved by Confederation of African football, CAF. The choice of Limbe which is 75km from Douala airport where the Kenyans landed is to respect CAF rules on long distances by road. According to the rules visiting teams can only travel by road not more than 200km.

The U17 Lions of Cameroon have been forced to travel to Limbe from their camping site in Bafoussam.

The Match comes up this Sunday August 7, 2016.

  1. Well, upon second thought, it is better to change and save lifes than to keep to rigid rules.
