EMBEZZLEMENT AT BICEC: Two Former Workers, Accomplices Arrested

Innocent Ondoa Nkou former Deputy General Manager of International Bank of Cameroon for savings and credit, BICEC, who is also mayor of Kribi and paramount ruler of the Ewondo community in FIFINDA, South has been arrested alongside Samuel Ngando Mbongué, former Head of Treasury and Accounting department of BICEC.

The man well known in the role he played in the Chorale Mey group, a choir within the UEBC, Union de Baptist du Cameroun was forced by Interpol to cut his stay in Sao Tome and Principe short.

Also Ekoka Epounde Benoit an Accounting Expert and Martin Nyamsi, Director of Interface Institution two close aids believed to have allegedly involved in the Scam at BICEC were apprehended.

The four were presented to the state prosecutor Monday at Douala Court of Appeal and Wouri High Court, before bundling them into the New bell Central Prison in Douala.

They are accused of swindling 50billion francs from the Institution in a scam described by observers as one of the biggest in the banking sector in recent times.
