Free entry for Kenya-Cameroon duel in Afcon qualifier

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has waived the entrance fee for the Kenya U17 team’s second leg match against Cameroon counterparts in the Afcon qualification battle set for Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium.

The move by FKF is aimed at rallying fans to turn out in large numbers and support the Rising Stars during the match which will kick off at 3pm.

“The match is very important to us despite the huge loss we suffered away in the first leg. But as I have said many times before this is a new team, barely two months old and we are looking to support it to the best of our ability.

“That is why we have decided to waive the entrance fee and let Kenyans from all walks of life come and support what is arguably the future of Kenyan football,” the FKF president Nick Mwendwa said in a stement sent to media on Thursday.
