FIFA Ranking: Ghana overtakes Cameroon as second best team in Africa

On August 26, 2016, FIFA released its ranking of female national teams. Ghana overtook Cameroon as second best team in Africa moving up two places to 46th in the world with the Indomitable Lionesses dropping one place to third in Africa and 47th in the world with 1484 points.

Nigeria's Super Falcons retained their position as the best women's football team in Africa and on the 37th position in the world ranking.

In the world ranking, the United States stayed in the first position, Germany, France and Canada are the second, third and fourth best teams in the world; while England is ranked the fifth best teams in the world.
