Douala ranked world’s 9th Worst city to live in

Douala has been ranked the world's third worst city to live in. This is according to the 2016 World livability ranking released by the Economist Intelligence Unit yesterday Thursday August 18th. Out of 140 countries that was used during the survey, Lagos came 132nd.
"It is perhaps unsurprising the African city made the worst city list, as it scores very poorly across healthcare, education, infrastructure, and culture and environment. However, a higher stability score helped keep it from the top spot.
According to the report, the top five best countries to live in, remained Melbourne in Australia, Vienna in Austria, Vancouver in Canada, Toronto in Canada and Calgary in Canada.

The liveability survey assesses which locations around the world provide the best or the worst living conditions across five broad categories – stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.

  1. Wow! 3 cities in Canada alone! Well am not surprised with this. I have a first hand experience after living in Toronto, and now live in Calgary, I would vouche that Canada may no be the best country to live in the world, but it could be ranked in the top 5 best world countries in terms of health, environment, economy, integration of immigration, social and family wellbeing, civil stability etc

    1. *integration of immigrants!

  2. The dead of Monique has influenced these results

  3. This is 2016 but your blog post carries a thirteen year old picture of Douala.
