Black Coffee beats Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Serge Beynaud and others to win 2016 BET Best International Act, Africa

Black Coffee, 40, has won the Best International Act, Africa category at the 2016 BET Awards. The multi-award winning record producer and DJ began his career around the year 1995 and has released five albums and a live DVD under his Johannesberg-based record label, Soulistic Music. He is arguably the most prominent electronic music producer in Africa.

The South African DJ and record producer beat competition from Wizkid, Yemi Alade, MzVee, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz and Serge Beynaud at the presentation done ahead of the main event which will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, on Sunday, June 26. .
