Groom divorces bride on wedding night after she was too busy texting friends to have sex with him

A bride was divorced by her husband on their wedding night because she was more interested in texting her friends than having sex with him. A Saudi Arabian husband filed for divorce hours after wedding because his bride spent her wedding night texting her friends instead of consummating her marriage.

The couple was sitting in a hotel room following their ceremony in Jeddah when the bride got busy with her phone, responding to congratulatory messages from her friends rather than paying attention to her new mate, Saudi media reported.
“The groom tried to get closer with her and more intimate, but he was shocked when she ignored him, not responding to his words or action,” a relative told Al Watan, a daily newspaper in Saudi. “When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were.”
Her response infuriated her husband, who walked out on his wife and said he was ending their short union. A local court tried to patch things up for the newlyweds, recommending that they try to reconcile, but the unsatisfied man wouldn’t budge on his divorce demand, according to Gulf News.

  2. Kiki the husband exhibited stunning immaturity and a misplaced sense of entitlement. Lesson number one of being a husband - your wife is not your girlfriend any more so no more sex on demand!

The power dynamics in a relationship shift dramatically in favor of the wife once they get married. She knows she can do a lot of what may seem irrational and out of place, like texting her friends or talking on the phone, before, during and after sex, and get away with it.

She obviously knew that it was inappropriate for her to be texting her friends at that time. Instead of figuring out what is the matter, he got pissed off. By loosing his cool, he inadvertently over played his now weaker hand - he fell into her trap. He engaged in a suisidal gamble by asked her a question under such duress with a potentially unpleasant answer as a likely response. He should have known that with her being his wife, she is liberated from telling him sweet lies that he wants to hear, so she predictably gonna choose her life long friends over him, a new husband. He forced her to tell him what he didn't want to hear.

Potential husbands should know that marriage is a complicated endeavor best suited for the wise and humble who have the maturity and emotional intelligence to deal with the new power dynamics. It is a journey of a million steps that only the naive perceive as a race. Take one step at a time.
