Didier Drogba files libel lawsuit against Daily Mail UK

On April 13, 2016 Daily Mail UK reported that only 0.8 per cent of the £1.7 million raised in the UK by Didier Drogba's charity foundation over five years, has been spent on good causes. According to the news website, Drogba's charity claimed to be funding the construction of a hospital and up to five other clinics — but has built only one clinic, which has no staff or medical equipment.

Drogba issued a statement today, denying all the allegations by Daily mail and also revealed that he will he will institute legal action against UK news website. The former Chelsea striker's charity foundation is now under 
is under investigation by the UK Charity Commission.
