KB Reader Who May be Gay Needs Help

I got inspired to share my story after the KB Narratives segment of your blog. As much I love celebrities and their drama, I am pleased that your blog is not 100% them. Letting your readers share their stories and ask the other readers for their opinions is a good Kiki. I had mixed feelings contacting you to share my story because of the sensitive nature of it but then someone very close to you told me I have nothing to worry about. So, I will ask to to hide my identity just for the sake of saying it.

I am 29-year-old and have never be in a relationship before. Honestly speaking I have never been attracted to a lady before. Any time I set my eye on the naked body of a lady, it irritates me. My best friend is a girl, people think we are sleeping together but that has never happened and will never happen.

I have tried several times to develop feelings for women but all to no avail. I always end up bored and frustrated. I thought everything was ok still last year when I met a stranger at the market and have not stopped thinking about him still today. I don't know his name or where he comes from but I will give up anything in this life to see him again. I have prayed over this countless times. I do not know who to see or explain my problem to. I am afraid, so afraid.

My mother wants me to begin a family after 30. She has already brought her friend's daughter to the house several times and told me she will make a good wife.
Please is anything wrong with me? if yes, what could be the solution?

  1. My dear it's weird but go to God in prayers homosexuality is spiritual you can either yield to it or chase it out of you with prayers am not against those who choose to be gays or lesbians either but where we are all from Africa we don't go for it so you choose wisely go to God in prayers only him can break yokes and strongholds cos that feeling will not go away unless through some serious prayers

  2. My response will come from a Christian stand point, I won't say I understand what you are going through because am not in your shoes, but I do have an idea of how it feels to fight an inner battle between self and what is perceived as abominable. I will advice you to pray harder cause most of the times sin is so sweet and has a strong influence on us and give us all the best reasons to do it. For instance, deep inside you, you want to be with a man but have you ever asked yourselve if it is right in the eyes of God? Validation only comes from God and not from society, so take time and go through some prayers and ask others (pastor etc) you trust (Not people who will mock or insult you about it) to pray with you for God to help you because the fact that you are afraid of the whole situation, shows that something about it, is wrong. I must commend you for seeking a solution. I will be praying for you too. Do not rush to make a family to please your mom until you have solved this problem, so you don't inflict misery on any girl. Have a blessed day.

  3. It's a pity you are going through this challenge.
If you believe Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. It's not a long process. It all has to do with renewing your mind.

First off you have to establish in my mind that God loves you.
Declare your objective to God. Though He already knows. And Ask Him to help you. Your body belongs to Jesus Christ and totally His your savior.
Read the book of John and meditate. When tots of the guy you fantazing over call the name of Jesus Christ and quote his words. NO sin shalt have dominion over me. All is not done by will power it's done by the grace of God. Be consistent in your prayers. Fast once recommended thrice a week. If you are a starter in fasting it's 6am to 12pm.
Fasting is not to move God. But to quieten your flesh. During that time read out Loud or put your names when reading psalms . The word of God is a two edged sword. your spirit man will be charged up.
Also always note that the Holy spirit lives in you. Be conscious of Jesus Christ and Holy spirit.
Mind you the spirit of lust is a stubborn spirit.
Be very careful whom you share this information to. Some will instead condemn you and with condemnation pours in guilt. And your mind will be focus on the sin. Some will milk money from you in the name of offering.

Well another step God can reveal how this got into you. To the best of my knowledge no one is ever born with it. Learn to know you are forgiven and don't be hard on yourself. Its only Love of God that can conquer this.

  4. Actually my dear brother I will be honest with you. I think I was on editing like you but I'm just 27 years old. But I fought deep and hard and at the end of the day God answer my prayers and I've overcome that feelings or urge for a fellow man and now I'm into a serious relationship with someone I love with all my heart. First think of it as a single and a non acceptable issue in our community, Africa don't be brain washed by the media that we are born like that man no my dear brother fight harder and God will see you through.

    God bless you.

    1. Praise God.

Please in some African cultures it was practiced and even in Cameroon. Check out Wikipedia.

It's with the word of God that such practices diminished.

I never had friends not that I don't like them but because I enjoy been alone.I avoided relationship because I was so committed to my religion and wanted to married as a vigin. I have seen a guy at 32 still a vigin, stop confusing yourself. No one was born gay or lesbian people create the mind set and implement upon themselves. You are straight stay focus and find yourself

    1. When I was disrespected and treated so badly in my relationship I thought of becoming a lesbian and I started thinking more of a ladies than men. I start developing feelings of ladies instead of men, after a while when I have forgotten all that I went through I stay focused on working on myself and now am getting married to a wanderful man. Life is a choice no one was born gay or lesbian.

  10. a lot of you carry christianity as a flag on your head, ask God and pray about it, oh please. if you have feelings for someone then go for it my brother, you aint comitting no sin by dating and being with who your heart longs for. why should you not be with who you desire because they are the same sex as you, guess what guess since from the age of 10 i have always been attracted to my same sex, my family family has taking me to all churches and pastors in the world. today am with the one of my dreams and nothing could have felt better. seems like they werent able to cast out the demon in me so stop bullshitting about prayers cause at the end of the day as long as your happy with who your with thats all that matters anyone whos against it can go to hell
