I was in prison for two and a half years and I hope my story inspires someone

Yannick K Bopda
Dear KB readers,

My name is Yannick K Bopda, originally from Cameroon. The purpose of this correspondence, this very morning, is to indeed make an appealing to my fellow brother’s and sister’s locally and abroad. I have had such great and unexpected difficulties during some periods in my life, both while living in my home country Cameroon and in the United States of America because of poor decisions that I have made.
As we all know that, the man I used to be was once upon a time, a reluctant, illiterate, criminal and unbeliever individual. Consequently, I had endured a great deal of chastisements including a two and half years of imprisonment. During those timing and season of trials I witnessed one of the most tragedy and heart breaking events, in my lifetime. I realized this was not the kind of life-style I so wanted to abide by nor live; Then I turned to God and completely surrendered my life to him. Conquering our deepest fears and overcoming our hardships are lifelong and continuous adjustments that we will have to make along our journey, and via the channel of faith, hope, and unending prayers each and everyday my mind, heart and soul were being renewed.
Faith is an abstract and complex notion to fully comprehend. It’s having a firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible explanation; it’s having complete trust in or devotion to something. Faith is the opposite of doubt. Faith is ultimately the single-most important element of the Christian life. In Hebrews, faith is described as, “Having confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see” and prayers is the anchor of those tossed into the sea, the treasure of the poor and rich, the cure of diseases, the safeguard of health and wealth.
Prayer is communicating with your higher power. All you have to do is ask God for his help. “Then they cried out to the lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.” He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. they were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven. These are the phenomenal ingredients I held on via my trials, challenges, and persecutions which allowed me to Breakout from that cycle, breakthrough in pursuit of my land saturated of milk and honey and break forth for the fulfillment of my destiny.
In conclusion, not to boastfully speak, but today I have changed my life around, by allowing humility to sink into my soul, hard work in both academically and socially to always be the top notch of my focus, happiness to dictate the forum of my atmosphere, and the sandal of piece to always be my ground of momentum.
Altogether, if there is anyone out there that, are still doubting the preeminence of the man I have became today, I am open to engage in a one on one dialogue with you. I thank you profusely for all of your admonitions and favor. Beloved, it is my prayer that, in all respects you may prospers, be in good health and wealth just as your souls prospers., originally from Cameroon.
