Angry Mob stones gambler to death after he killed two people in Nairobi

On February 8, 2016 a gambler who killed two people after losing Sh30,000 was lynched in Nairobi, Kenya. An angry mob stoned John Barnanas Mchanga to death after he stabbed two people and killed them at City View Bar in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

According to Daily Nation, Mr Mchanga went to the manager's office, found Mr Winfred Mbuvi, 40 and demanded a free play and when he was turned down, he used a Somali sword and stabbed her several times, killing her.

A security guard named as Mr James Lutea who tried to rescue the first victim was also stabbed to death. Another guard stabbed by the Tanzanian gambler is currently in critical condition at the hospital.

The unfortunate incident reportedly happened shortly after midnight. Police officers from Starehe Police Station visited the scene in the morning and interrogated the staff.
