A nursing home employee, 20-year-old Alexis Williams, an employee at the Bristol Court Assisted Living Facility on 3479 54th Avenue North in unincorporated St. Petersburg in Florida is in police custody Wednesday after detectives say she filmed two senior residents having sex without their knowledge or consent and shared the video with her followers on Snapchat in August of last year.

An Egyptian man brutally tortured his wife and locked her up upon discovering that she set up a Facebook page after he refused to create an account for her.

According to Egyptian security forces, Asmaa Samir was brutally tortured by her husband Mustafa Raafat who tied her with ropes and locked her up in their house for three days while depriving her of food and drink and torturing her using sharp tools.

Meningitis outbreak reported in Yaounde Central Prison

A meningitis outbreak that began earlier this month at the Yaounde Central Prison in Kondengui has grown to about two dozen cases in a matter of about four weeks.

As of 24 March 2017, a total of 23 suspected/confirmed cases including 9 deaths (case fatality rate of 39%) have been reported. While majority of the affected people were prisoners, 5 suspected cases came from the surrounding community in the affected district.

A North Carolina father has been charged with the murders of his two daughters a newborn and a toddler after driving into the woods with them in a jealous rage Friday, officials said.

Tillman Freeman, 30, of Fayetteville, had a growing obsession that his wife was cheating on him. So on Friday, he drove their two young children,4-day-old Genesis Freeman and her 2-year-old sister, Serenity, to a secluded spot in the woods in Hoke County and stabbed them to death, authorities said.

A popular Tanzanian rapper said Sunday that he had been arrested over a song allegedly insulting President John Magufuli, seen as increasingly authoritarian and unwilling to brook any dissent.

Another Anglophone Lawyer Arrested, Whisked To Yaounde

Human rights lawyer and former President of Northwest Common Law Lawyers’ Association, was on Thursday, March 16 arrested and transferred to Yaounde.

According to The Post, Barrister Robert Fon was summoned to the Northwest Governor’s office where he was arrested and whisked off to Yaounde.

Close collaborators of Barrister Fon told The Post that no charges have been leveled against him yet. Meantime, most prominent Bamenda lawyers have fled town for fear of being arrested.
